Lately it seems that many of our worlds have become upside down, how about a special page to just vent our issues. Mark has his personal blog, so giving him space lets create our own. I ask that politics stay out of it, I am sure there are many topics we can complain about or share. The subjects are endless, grocery prices, gas prices, home maintenance, and even the lighter side, favorite music, places to visit, a kind deed by someone..What ever was important to you and you would like to share it.

That is a good thought, and no politics.  right now sadness, is all I can feel. good memories keep me going.
I am keeping busy. making pickles cleaning house and taking care of garden and my flowers in the yard, and house.

This was played at Jerry's memorial service..

Thanks for sharing Gypsy, my heart hurts for you I know what you are feeling. Feel free to express what ever you want. When my Jack died I used to go to the cemetery and cuss him like a dog for leaving me. I still have my moments. Your husband was a very nice looking man.

Just curious Linda and if you rather not answer this question that's perfectly fine, but what did Jerry die of?

Ok, sorry to hear that. I'm guessing he had a heart condition for a period of his life then that happened.

You know everyone has to go someway, you don't get to pick your excape from this life, you have to wait and see. its just sometimes you never know what it will be.

Hope this time of grief passes soon Linda and I can tell you it will eventually to a degree. I hope you have someone that can keep an eye on you, in other words you are not living all alone now.

Strange as it sounds two things I saved of my husbands that were very comforting were his pillow case and his after shave, they both smelled like him and I could close my eyes and just for a brief moment it was as if he were still here. I keep the pillow case in a ziploc bag and just a slight whiff will make the day better.

Sounds familiar Margie, when my mom died I kept the last little bit of perfume that was in the bottle of perfume she used. The smells has a unique way of bringing back memories.

I guess we all have our ways of dealing with death, there certainly are no set of rules or time limits, I did find the 1st year getting through holidays, bdays, anniversary's etc. was the hardest, I still get emotional but in 5 years it has finally eased .

Laugh a little
sing a little--as you go your way
Work a little play a little
do this everyday
give a little--take a little
never mind a frown
make your smile -a welcome thing
all around town

Laugh a little --love a little
skies are always blue
Every cloud has silver linings
but it is up to you.

Late summer and fall are a hard time for me , this was when all the hunting preparations were being made, my Jack loved to deer hunt, the muscadones are ripe and falling, the squirrels are tearing up the pine cones , you can tell the season is getting ready to change, I just hope with no hurricane this year. I am in no mood for a storm. My youngest g-baby is a senior this year, so it is a daily routine to see how much money she needs nearly every day, so far 600.00 and counting, thank god her mama works and so does she after school. We estimate it will be about 2700.00. How do people do this ? Times are rough and the pressure put on the graduating kids it unreal, then the scholarship race starts. Never a dull moment here for sure.

Gypsy it seems there is never a month without a sad day, Jack died March 22nd and we buried him March 29, that was the day my Dad died 5 years earlier, my Aunt died May 15th .Jacks birthday was June 16 th Mom died June 15th, I lost Mom, Dad and my Aunt within 10 weeks which meant 3 trips to Missouri I couldn't beat the damage the nursing home had done to them.. Sept is a sad month my step son died the 6th at age 3 anniversary in July and then the holidays come along to take the wind out of you, I have finally come to the conclusion these are only days on a never ending calender.

My Nephew wrote this, Jerry had two nicknames, Pappy and Butch
he also loved Twinkies. this was wrote and sent to me to cheer me and make me feel better, I did smile and shed tears also

It does, it can be hard to find some times, but you have a great sense of direction! Follow these steps and you will get there easily!

1) You will need a vehicle, any will do but the more it seats the better, cause the more people you bring, the better chances you have of finding the gate. It also helps if they bear resemblance or remind you strongly of a part of the person your visiting.

2) You will need the following:
Snacks any will do but i recomend at least one box of twinkies for this trip, (as i assume i know who you are gona visit).
Libations, again any will do but i encourage fan favorites.
Pictures, they are like GPS to where we are going.
Sacred or special items, these are like the keys to the gate.

After all that is organized (doesnt have to be by you either) you will follow these directions, i dont have the address but here are the directions best i member.

Take a right onto memory lane, stay on that till you find, ,,, i think it was pappy pass,,,,, or was it butchy Boulevard I dont remember exactly so take your time, if your going to fast you will miss it for sure, however If your crusing along, relaxing and enjoying the scenery you will find it comes right after good times way, near the junction of route great compamy & good times place.
Just be careful not to get lost and end up on lonely road, or stuck on the cant get out of bed turnpike. If you do, please make sure you pick up the phone & call for help, no one wants to end up out of gas on a dead end road !
We,,,,,, .... I Love You
Keep your head up, but dont forget to hold your breath when the waves come..

Put your car keys beside your bed at night.

Put your car keys beside your bed at night.

Tell your spouse, your children, your neighbors, your parents, your Dr's office, the check-out girl at the market, everyone you run across. Put your car keys beside your bed at night.

If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panic button for your car. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car battery dies.

This tip came from a neighborhood watch coordinator. Next time you come home for the night and you start to put your keys away, think of this: It's a security alarm system that you probably already have and requires no installation. Test it. It will go off from most everywhere inside your house and will keep honking until your battery runs down or until you reset it with the button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in your driveway or garage.

If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break into your house, odds are the burglar/rapist won't stick around. After a few seconds, all the neighbors will be looking out their windows to see who is out there and sure enough the criminal won't want that. And remember to carry your keys while walking to your car in a parking lot. The alarm can work the same way there. This is something that should really be shared with everyone. Maybe it could save a life or a sexual abuse crime.

. Would also be useful for any emergency, such as a heart attack, where you can't reach a phone.

Of course you all post what you want in this topic I'm not going to say anything about it that's SSC's and Gypsy's job now, if I had an issue I would PM them about it, but I will comment that I don't see how posting videos like some of the ones posted here in this topic is "Venting". Venting usually entails speaking your mind about something, but whatever.. lol To Vent or Not to Vent 440643
