3 c. Rice Chex cereal
1/3 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. flaked coconut
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 pt. vanilla ice cream, softened
1 pt. lime or other flavor sherbet, softened
Crush cereal with rolling pin or in food processor until coarsely crushed and no large pieces remain. Combine crushed cereal, brown sugar, coconut, nuts, and melted butter. Press into 9 or 10 inch pie plate, reserving 1/2 cup to sprinkle on top. Spread layer of softened sherbet and then layer of softened vanilla ice cream. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Freeze overnight. Let sit out for 10 minutes before serving.
