The shameful spectacle over Obama’s speech

The latest controversy dividing this great nation is whether it’s appropriate for the president to speak to school children.

In an online address set for Tuesday, President Barack Obama is expected to welcome students back to school and suggest they stay in school and work hard. He’s expected to urge them not to drop out of high school.

The reaction, from the political right, has been anger; wild accusations that he’s planning to indoctrinate kids with socialist ideology. Local school districts have been flooded with calls from parents worried their kids might be exposed.

…Given that American students traditionally rank poorly in math and science compared to students in other wealthy nations, isn’t it appropriate for the president to encourage hard work?

The political right has legitimate arguments to make with the Obama administration. This one, however, is simply shameful.

Very admirable man , e-mailing his resignation in the middle of the night...Oh well he is gone just can't see a professed communist and radical demonstrator holding a job my tax dollars pay for...Good riddance.
