MY Words: Please take the time, to watch this video. over a million have. i will admit it brought tears to my eyes, for one thing i love the p51 mustang, it won the war in europe, my brother inlaw loves them even more,he is a pilot as u know he lives on a 3000 foot grass airstrip, and one day a mustang landed, right in almost his yard. for ppl that dont know, germany at the end of WWII had the jet, but by then america had put so many mustangs over there, and mustangs are fast, the shear number of mustangs could handle the faster german jet. so the german jet never had a chance. the mustang was called the Cadillac of the sky, but this is a story about the greatest generation we have had, as they leave us. please it is rather long but it gets better as it goes on. watch it till the end. its about a WWII ace and his grandkids , and the plane he flew, please watch this, i did not put it in the video . i thought it would for now be better here. i will copy and paste the url but also the description of the video, i think its like 20 something minutes long. take the time please u will be glad by the end, this was a man that did things we only dream about, he lived things we cant imagine now. we owe them more than we can say.

Filmmaker and P-51 Mustang Pilot Chris Woods has put together a wonderful film that captures the emotional reunion between a humble WWII Mustang ace (Jim Brooks) and the historic plane he thought he'd never see again.

Inspired by the flood of memories triggered by this unimaginable encounter with a long lost friend, the 88-year old pilot finally breaks his silence, sharing his stories and experiences of war with the grandchildren who never thought they'd hear them.

Wood's interviews with Brooks, his grandchildren, and other airmen who were touched by the Mustang's role in history are cut together to create a compelling narrative that is framed in stunning high-definition photography.

ASB.TV loves beautifully done aviation storytelling films. Fellow Mustang pilot and director Chris Woods has put together one of the very best!
