Halliburton Inc.'s chief told stockholders Wednesday, May 19, 2010, that the company expects to be off the hook with regard to the April 20 explosion of the Deepwater Horizon oil platform. The company has said it finished with cementing work oil well site some 20 hours before the rig exploded, killing 11 workers and ultimately causing a giant oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

i actually think hallburton is not at fault, it was a bubble of methane, as i understand it as it rose the pressure got less and the bubble grew larger, but there will be investigations, mainly to see this does not happen again, there probably is no other company as good at doing these type things as halburton, but anyway, no need to place blame till an investigation is complete. i feel there will be new safeguards for other sites, as investiagtions go forward, i think congress will even investigate i think i read but maybe not. the main thing is stopping it rather than place blame without facts, what scared me is how long will it continue to let oil out, i think i heard its now on the louisianna coast, in the marsh grass or what ever they call it... i know u want hallburton to be at blame because of cheney, but i doubt his name will even come up, he has nothing to do with day to day operations, of something like this. if he does come up it will be some liberal group trying to make points, , but for me i will wait and see later, now we need to get it stopped and it does not look like that is going to happen anytime soon, take care
