a refresher course on Grilled corn

Fresh Corn On The Grill
Makes 6 servings

* 6 ears corn, with silk and husks intact
* butter or margarine
* salt and pepper

Turn back corn husks; do not remove. Remove silks with stiff brush; rinse corn under cold running water. Lay husks back into position. Roast ears, on covered grill, over medium-hot Kingsford® charcoal about 25 minutes or until tender, turning corn often. Remove husks and serve with butter, salt and pepper, as desired.

2 ears, just use less kingsford, put it all on one side of the grill, lol. i actually have hardly ever had grilled corn , i really cant remember having it, im sure i have at some point but its been a while, usually by the time the meat is done we are starving, and will not wait on grilled corn and the grill is to full when we are cooking like at the lake for all of us,, take care

Oh yeah I know that's why you said Kingsford, and it was funny. I read it in Gypsy's recipe too! I'm with ya buddy. I was gonna get to that part but you beat me to it. every one knows this 440643

Maybe she can explain to us why Kingsford should be used for this recipe as opposed to other brands. LOL

I buy the cheapest brand that is on sale. lol

well kingsford is really good and keeps burning good, and walmart sells alot of it, i was at walmart today, and they were moving a pallet of kingsford, i bought a 9 pound bag of sams choice which says its 60 percent bigger, than i guess past walmart charcoal.. but i used the same 60 percent bigger briquettes last year,and i found it does well and burns good,, but i have bought cheep charcoal and it goes out, so usually it is that sams choice or kingsford.and i think royal oak is good.. man i got some one time that had big splinters of wood in it, and i forgot the brand but it did not burn good and went out.. im rambling but i have a cheep grill at the lake now, i drilled holes in the bottom so it gets air from under the coals, like a good webber grill holds the charcoal up on another grill so it gets plenty of air, but charcoal that just lays on flat metal i have problems with it going out,but if im going to pay for kingford, its going to have to cook something more expensive than corn,but usually i guess its after the meat is done, i would not build a fire just for corn, ok i will hush, lmao

Well lets be honest about this and get down to brass tacks, Gypsy obviously copied and pasted that recipe from a site that promotes "Kingsford" charcoal. I have no problem with that, but lets call a spade a spade.

That's right rosco, well said.

Oh just one more thing I wanted to point out before I wrap up my end of this subject of charcoal, I loved the ® next to Kingsford in the recipe, that gave it away even more it was a copy and paste, it made it even funnier Kingsford® every one knows this 440643

Nothing personal Gypsy we're just having a little fun, like rosco said.

Say something like you don't like my toast recipe or something..lmao

Actually I should go back and edit that topic on toast I made, and put the brand of toaster and bread to use.. lol!
