I'm going to vote "Dallas" because of the money, I'd love to be in that kind of money, it suits me well. I've lived the majority of my life what most people would consider rich, so I would love to go back to that.

I waited to see the votes before I voted, although I don't know who voted for what I was a little surprised no one voted for "Good Times", my thoughts were gypsy would go that route, but as far as I know she may not have voted, Which of the TV show families would you most like to live with? 477996   Which of the TV show families would you most like to live with? 19239

Several people have logged in since the poll was created, so I can't tell who voted for what.. smile

I voted Dallas also, my kind of setting money, oil, and space.

Yeah I was a big fan of Dallas in the 80's, I watched every episode and recorded them on a VCR. I would actually entertain my friends by acting and dressing like JR Ewing, without the cowboy hat . haha

I must say though I was leaning towards "Little House on the Prairie" because I love the idea of living in that era, where life is simple, but not simple in the sense that hard work is needed to survive, but life was different then and not so much about material things. That's not to say they didn't want material things, but rather they didn't need them and were happy without them. There wasn't electricity to run electronics, so no one wanted a new computer, or air-conditioner. If you don't know air-conditioner's exist then the heat ain't so bad, know what I mean?

Also, I liked the family values of the Ingalls family, the lessons learned between right and wrong, it was a great era, would've loved to live in that time, pioneering the west.

Which of the TV show families would you most like to live with? 302901 I voted for Dallas. Rich people are better than poor people. They live in nicer homes/neighborhoods,dress better, drive better cars, and have more money.

I would rather live with The Munsters. Dallas would skin you alive for money.

No it would have counted your poll vote, you must have chose something else by mistake, maybe Bonanza or Happy Days.

That is highly possible, because I like both shows,
Dallas a fantasy.
Little House true life and good standard, belief's.

A little of both ,excitement either way :)

One thing that always killed me about Dallas was the drinking that went on in that show. Not so much Sue Ellen with her alcoholism problem the show liked to capitalize on, but the whole damn family, holy shit JR drank as much as Sue Ellen and while he was working! But the show dismissed that as "alright and perfectly normal".

The reality is no one could drink like they did day in and day out and run an oil company efficiently, so in that sense I agree about Dallas being somewhat a fantasy, because its a fantasy to be able to drink like that without suffering repercussions, both in your family life and business. It doesn't work, sorry.

JR would start drinking at his office very early, offering drinks to his cartel, and when they declined stating it was too early in the day he'd get real serious and say "ok, then lets get down to business". The thing is everyone in the Ewing family was drinking at every opportunity, serious hard liquor. But no one ever got accused of drinking too much but Sue Ellen, yeah right. In real life JR and the rest of the family would have been as much an alcoholic as she was.

In the last years of Dallas they knocked off everyone drinking all the time, instead they had tea and coffee. The show purposely did that because they were getting heat from people that the show was a bad influence, so they decided to stop drinking on the show, and when they had something it was non-alcoholic.

To me it ruined the show, the drinking was part of the charm it had.
