LOL I'll just say hi I can't spell hodey..lol

Man I am tired from the hot day. Looks like FL missed a hurricane this time. Looks like the east coast will get it. God bless everyone in its path.

Thank you. I know how it is with hurricanes I spent a life dealing with them. I hope it dies out. It sucks, electric goes out and worst things. I guess we dodged a bullet this time. Florida sticks out there just waiting for something to happen.

its not going to bring rain to us, once we went to disney world, and a hurricane had gone up off the east coast, which sucked down a high cold front through the south, all the way past orlando, so in orlando we had the most beautiful weather ever . not a cloud in the sky and mild temps, for the whole week, north carolina looks bad, i think they are sending the ships out to sea, and they are making plans for New York,
another hot day, 97, seems it never ends, very dry here, but im glad it did not come into the gulf, but bless the ppl in its path,

I complain about the hot weather here in FL all the time, but that's only because I've lived here my entire life and know nothing else. But the truth is I love Florida and don't want to live anywhere else. But if I was rich I would buy a second house in the Carolina mountains or Canada to go to in the summer to stay cool, then come back to FL in the rest of the seasons. But Florida is all I really know and I'm proud of this state. That's my true feelings. This is home to me no matter what the weather is. I've been thru many hurricanes before, its second nature to me. I'm not downplaying the effects of hurricanes it has on peoples lives, just stating I've seen it all and lived thru them. Its common to me. I'm used to it. If you live in Florida expect it this time of year.

Now things are a little different, my Mom and Dad are not here to protect me and make me feel better and comfort me about them, now I am on my own and have to deal with them myself. But I am experienced in this by personal experience, I know what to do. I take them seriously but I know what my options are. Its been this way since I was born, but back then my Dad did the worrying, now I do. But like I said, I've been down that path before. I'm a native Floridan so this is normal to me. I don't freakout like some people might.

they showed how the NC outer banks will first get a surge from the atlantic on the eastern side, then when i passes, it will get surge on west side from the water in the i guess a bay like, it showed a graphic antimated picture of how it may do, if it takes the path they think, lots of ppl stranded with air travel canceled in new york and much of new england, and i think the trains are full, i think i heard that , but dont hold me to it,

yes i use to love the lake more when i had daddy to help me, and he would make the decisions. man me and him worked so hard, and now after the divorce, its hard for me to get motivated, i have on some things i had to, like the power company that makes the rules on the lake as they own the water, i had to change out some things on the boat house, and at the same time i had a new maximum length walkway made and installed, i just miss my dads input, and handling stuff, but i like alabama, and living here, its close to the gulf and also the mountains, about 4 to 5 hours each way,, there are places i wanted to go that i know now i will never see, but when the kids were home we did go alot of places and saw lots of history, and lots of amusment parks, so i cant complain, actually at the lake is alot like being in the mountains, thats why the lake is so deep,, and huge rocks, huge rock walls, we use to take thanksgiving left overs up to the lake and stay thanksgiving weekend.. but no one want to do that now, but fall is so pretty up there,
