Recipe Ingredients:
◦325g plain flour
◦1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
◦60g brown sugar (demerara)
◦2 eggs (beaten)
◦220g shredded suet
◦220g currants (or raisins)
◦300ml milk

The PUDDING SHOULD COME OUT LIGHT AND FLUFFY.

A DEEP SAUCEPAN IS REQUIRED WITH A tIGHT FITTING LID.

MUSLIN is used for the cloth. loose woven.

The saucepan has to be topped up with water because it boils away.

Best to researcH the pudding on the net, because I HAVE NEVER MADE IT.

You can use sultannas for the fruit.

ich lebien dich...I love You...The Dick may have come from this German word.

Spotted is the fruit.

i like it

Maybe it can be done with a modern steamer.

custard goes well with it.

i seem to remember mother in law putting the mix in a piece of muslin and tying the top in such a way...so she could put the handle of a wooden spoon through the top and dangling it above the hot water....
maybe took 2 hours to cook.
such a long time ago ...my re-call is hazy.

mind you mr dick had no re-call at all.
