TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- Alabama is tied with LSU at No. 2 this week in the USA Today coaches' poll.

Both Southeastern Conference teams are cutting into top-ranked Oklahoma's lead.

Alabama received seven first-place votes, three more than a week ago. LSU received 20 first-place votes, 15 more than a week ago. Oklahoma received 32 first-place votes, 18 fewer than a week ago.

Oklahoma had a 61-point lead over Alabama a week ago. Now that lead is 31 points over the Crimson Tide and Tigers.

Alabama defeated No. 12 Arkansas 38-14 on Saturday. LSU won 47-21 at No. 16 West Virginia. Oklahoma defeated Missouri 38-28.

Alabama was ranked No. 2 by itself last week and LSU was ranked No. 3.

The Crimson Tide will play host to LSU on Nov. 5.

Florida moved up three spots this week to No. 12. The Gators (4-0) play host to Alabama at 7 p.m. CDT Saturday.

Alabama remains No. 3 in The Associated Press' college football poll. LSU moved ahead of Oklahoma and into the No. 1 spot.

Well, I don't fear LSU at all. The Gators will defeat them I'm sure of it. I don't fear them. The game I'm looking forward to is against Alabama. That is the game of the year in my opinion. We will take LSU out when we play them.
