I first started seeing Albert Brooks on the old Johnny Carson show. He floored me with his "Comedy is hard" routine. He started hitting himself in the face with pies, spray painting himself, dumping a pitcher of water on his head, etc.,while asking the audience "Does this look easy?".
I think he is more known in the entertainment biz as a writer, not a performer, but he IS a funny guy.The only movie roll I can remember him in was a serious one in "Taxi Driver",with Robert DeNiro,in which Brooks played a real asshole.
