I love this....and I think I will get behind this project on my page going forward....

Here is how the story goes...

One day while at a little local coffee shop two well dressed businessmen came in and went up to the counter. They said, "Five cups of coffee, please. Make two of them for us and make three of them suspended" They then paid for their order, took the two cups of coffee and left the shop.

I asked another customer sitting close by, “What are ‘suspended’ coffees?” He said, “Wait for it and you will see.”

Then some other people enter. They order seven coffees... three for them and four ‘suspended’. I sat there still wondering if it was a new flavor or a new marketing program, when suddenly a man dressed in shabby clothes who obviously was a homeless came in and kindly asks ‘Do you have a suspended coffee?’ And the woman at the counter told him to have a seat and she would bring it right out. She then told me the secret....

She said, "It’s simple - when people come here to get their coffee, they pay in advance for a coffee meant for someone who can not afford a cup on their own. The tradition with the suspended coffees started in Naples, but it has spread all over the world and in some places you can order not only a suspended coffee, but also a sandwich or a whole meal. We feed many homeless and hungry people this way."

Wouldn't it be wonderful to have such cafe's or even grocery stores in every town where the less fortunate will find hope and support? I wish I could go to a restaurant or a grocery store and pay ahead for someone less fortunate, don't you?
