That's our pelican Johnathan setting on top of the waves player, just call him Johnny for short, he drops by every now and then..

He is a nice addition to the lovely ocean scene, it looks very peaceful. I loved watching the pelicans when I worked the beaches after hurricanes. They are very unique, they fly in a line and it looks like they play follow the leader, if the lead pelican flaps his wings they all will and if it glides they all will do the same.

Thank you. I've seen pelicans all my life they have always been one of my favorite birds. They symbolize and are associated with the ocean everywhere you see their photos on posters, signs,,etc. Yes they do fly in sequence and precision just like you mentioned, I love to see that when they fly real low about a foot off the ocean gliding. Also I its cool and classic when they sit by themselves on a wooden log or in a group sitting on a peer.They like to stand on objects for some reason, but will stand on the shoreline too.
