What a bunch of total assholes, for the sake of money they have put at risk millions of people who depended on the Weather Channel for warnings. They substitute a very sorry excuse of a so called weather station that is more concerned about the East and West coast and the heck with anyone in-between. Think I will be changing cable carriers very soon.

Direct TV! WHOHOO! A few years ago, after I had been a loyal customer for several years, they added an additional receiver to my house while my niece occupied my spare bedroom temporarily. When she moved out after 3 months,I ordered the extra receiver removed.
I was told the additition started a new 1 year commitment for that added receiver and I owed them $457.00. Since I had been paying my bills with direct money transfers, they extracted that amount directly from my checking account.
I raised holy hell with my bank.got my money back, and cancelled my service. They are not only assholes, they are thieves.

Wish I had seen these posts sooner. Meemoon and SSC are so correct about Directv. They are liars and cheats and people need to be warned. I was a "valuable customer" with them from when they first started. As Meemoon said I am changing to u-verse as soon as it is available here. They threatened me with a huge penalty but I have news for them. All I have to do is stop the direct deposit from my bank.

I am still using Direct, got Weather Channel back but I dropped everything but HBO which is going soon, I am buying a Roku for each TV it will either work through Wifi or the Wii and I can get movies and Netflix, I pay 7.99 a month for Netflix now and there are thousands of movies to chose from as for internet I am using AT&T but dropped to the lowest package, it makes no difference in speed unless you are within 1500 ft. of a tower according to AT&T them selves so paying for high speed is a waste of money.
