its cold here
so i am simmering a big pot of hamburger soup.with buttered cornbread served on the side.

Brown 2 pounds of ground chuck
1 onion
1/2 cup of celery
2 cloves of garlic
when browned and onions translucent
add 2 carton of beef broth
bay leaf
pepper.
cayenne pepper to taste
taste for salt, add if needed
simmer ten minutes

add:1 can of corn
1 can of ro tel tomatoes
3 cups of cubed potatoes

simmer till done

when serving add green onion,and grated cheese

a big slab of Cornbread, with butter

don't forget to remove bay leaf
