SOUTHERN SWEET POTATO PIE
3 or 4 lg. sweet potatoes
Boil sweet potatoes until tender. Cool, peel and mash until fluffy.
Makes about 6 cups. Add:
3 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 tsp. vanilla
1 c. butter
1/2 c. milk or cream
deep dish pieshell
Bake 1 hr. on 325 until top is browned and bubbly, let sit 30 minutes and cut, serve with whipped topping sprinkled with a dash of nutmeg
