A 3.0 earthquake was reported north of Baton Rouge La. today , no damage or injuries were reported.

We have earthquakes all the time here but because of the subsurface dirt structure we rarely feel them, in southern La. the gumbo mud acts as a shock absorber. A few years ago the mud in Irish Bayou showed ripples but nothing major. There are many fault lines that run through this area.
