I just listened to this VERY long video that claims the US dollar will be dropped as the world reserve currency this year.. That will stop the process of living on credit dead in it's tracks leading to a severe economic downturn. I can't recommend this long-ass video though. Just posting this for the record. You may see the video advertised on tv.

The week started with a statement by the Chinese that any efforts (tariffs) against Chinese trade would have negative results, etc. The Chinese have over 1 trillion in US treasury notes and while they have us by the balls, we have their ability to sell goods by the throat. We are so intertwined with them financially there seems to be no way to confront their trade policies without stepping on our own toes. Trump goes on and on about China "ripping us off" but never says what he would do. There's not a whole lot that can be done.
