Senate Democrats Convince Socialist Senator To Block VA Bill So That They Avoid Political Consequences

Bernie Sanders is the only formal socialist in the U.S. Senate. We say “formal” because there sure are a lot of Democrats in the Senate who don’t seem to have any faith in the free market. We wouldn’t be surprised if many of these Democrats are also socialists who simply haven’t “come out of the closet” yet.
Bernie Sanders himself seems to agree with us about Democrats and their quiet disdain for free enterprise. After all, he caucuses with the Democrats.
The fact that a socialist feels comfortable with members of the Democratic party is something that should concern every American.
The relationship between the admitted socialist and the Senate Democrats seems to be mutually beneficial. Sometimes, he needs their help. Yesterday, they needed his help.
A bill that would enable the VA Secretary to fire incompetent executives passed the U.S. House overwhelmingly with bipartisan support. It was sent to the Senate for passage in that chamber.
However, the Democrats didn’t want to pass the bill. Why? You’ll have to ask them, but Democrats these days seem to be pretty keen on acting against the best interests of the United States.
Of course, those same Democrats didn’t want to look like they were opposing a measure that would add some level of accountability to the VA. So, they trotted out their socialist friend, Bernie Sanders, to do the dirty work for them.
Now, we can’t say “Democrats blocked the bill” because, technically, they didn’t. It was, however, blocked by someone who feels right at home with the Democrats. It was blocked by someone who caucuses with the Democrats for organizational purposes.
But it wasn’t blocked by Democrats.
Yeah. Right.
