Sad to say not everyone is fortunate enough to have access to fresh shrimp.
So when purchasing frozen shrimp please take the time to check out the packaging and only buy US caught shrimp, the same goes for frozen fish. Lets support our shrimpers and fisherman and keep the money here at home.
Fresh is in my opinion always better but when buying the frozen seafood and you find it has a strong fishy smell soaking in milk for 30. min. will be a big help.
