When I go to the page, this info flashes, QUICKLY, at the bottom of my screen, but disappears,so what gives?

I have answered a question on Public Speaking at Yahoo.

All I have ever done is be a an Auctioneer at my local club.

A little bit of fun is needed for that.

But I needed to keep my wits about me.

I don't know, I don't like Yahoo and avoid it if possible.

I copied and pasted this " thenewmeemoon's activity@yahooanswers.com " into the address bar and it took me to Google Search results, on that page was a listing for " thenewmeemoon's Activity - Yahoo! Answers ", I clicked on that and it took me to this page " http://answers.yahoo.com/activity?show=KxFRjEaLaa " Then I copied that link from the address bar.

I did the same thing. All I see is an address line under "The new meemoon's activity" that appears thus:

answers.yahoo.com/activity?show=KxFRjEaLaaCached


When I google this, all I get is "Sorry, IE can't show this page"

What am I missing?

I think I got it. If I take "answers.yahoo.com/activity?show=KxFRjEaLaaCached" and remove "Cached", I get:

answers.yahoo.com/activity?show=KxFRjEaLaa

This is the link you posted and it works. Did you have to remove "Cached"?

Try logging out of Yahoo first before you try it. There is a easier way do that:

Log out of Yahoo first, then put this into the Google Search engine " thenewmeemoon's Activity - Yahoo! Answers ". On the your Google search results page you will see this at the top of the results page as a link " thenewmeemoon's Activity - Yahoo! Answers ", Click that and it will take you to this page " http://answers.yahoo.com/activity?show=KxFRjEaLaa " Then copy that address that will be in your address bar.

No I didn't, read my above post and try that.

I go to PAGE on tool bar for my links and send to myself.

You do not have to have A Yahoo Browser or their Home Page.

When I try that, I am asked to sign in at "Windows Live". What in the hell is THAT?

I don't have toolbars or use a Yahoo Browser. I don't need toolbars, they are useless to me.

I use Firefox browser. I have a Yahoo account too, I havent logged into Yahoo in years.

As ya'll can clearly see, I NEVER try to answer ANY questions about computers.

I still use Windows XP Professional

If you have Windows 7 than I cannot help you

maybe more things are hidden.

Windows 7 is connected to Windows Live.



A Yahoo Account ..may not mean you are a Member.

I have never had a Yahoo Account.

Me too. I can't log out of Yahoo and do anything. My home page disappears and I get my blank desktop. Also, I have Windows 7 and have no idea what "windows Live" is and have never heard of it. I'll stick to subjects I know. I actually hate computers.

I'll leave you all with this final statement: What version of Windows you have makes no difference whatsoever. What browser you are using makes no difference whatsoever. If you have a toolbar or not makes no difference whatsoever. What DOES make a difference is knowing what you are doing, and if you don't know keep trying to learn it. Good luck folks.
