Fantastic short clip!!!! Absolutely worth a viewing!!!
Incredible four minute footage of a desperate Spitfire vs. ME-109 duel.
You feel like you are there!
Amazing computer work blended in with real photography.
Also an interesting factual story that most of us did not know.
History is rarely 'over'.
You must watch it to the very surprising end.
Now sit back and strap on your parachute harness ... it is the Summer of 1940 over the skies of England.
Listen to the perfect 'purr' of the Rolls Royce Merlin ...
Watch this full screen. It’s very well done.

The German
The German Link is active no more... It was tragic that Hitler was able to gain power in the first place--I suppose lessons from that have made us perhaps too trigger happy in getting us involved in all sorts of questionable conflicts since World War 2. I'm so happy that some good was accomplished and that you were able to survive the horrors of that war!
I do not blame you for entering the war late because I have discovered the reasons.
From an American Historian who studied European and American History.
He was a Teacher.
Father was desperate for help from you. But he did not know the reasons why you could not help.
Your boats were sending over Aid and kept getting sunk. You did what you could.
We ate your spam and corned beef (Bully beef))
Mother made spam fritters covered in batter. Your corned beef was nice with salad and tomato's.
Peace with Hitler was impossible.. He and his Henchmen were evil nutcases.
Driven by the obsession for an Arian Race.

The British liner Athenia was torpedoed by a U-boat.
This was at a time when Roosevelt still faced fierce opposition from isolationists
Supporter of isolationism, one who supports a policy of noninvolvement in the affairs of other countries
This puts a new perspective on Dad's plea.
I think Churchill was most grateful for your help.
Without it we would not have defeated Hitler.
Churchill was not very much liked by his colleagues.

I was a war baby born 1941 April
http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/worldwars/wwtwo/battle_atlantic_01.shtml From May 1941 the US Navy became a British ally in the struggle in the
Atlantic. By taking over escort duties in the western Atlantic, it became
involved in a shooting war with Germany, and on Halloween 1941, the
Inevitable happened. While escorting a British convoy, an American
Warship, the destroyer Reuben James, was torpedoed and sunk by the
submarine U-562.
This was at a time when Roosevelt still faced fierce opposition from
Isolationists within the USA, and escort duties in the Battle of the Atlantic
had so far been the most that the President could do to bring the USA
into
the war on the British side. However, eventually this undeclared German-
American naval war probably played a role in Hitler's decision to declare
war on the USA - in the aftermath of Pearl Harbor.
