I been working on a new site for Talk Show these past couple of weeks and I completed it today, there are a few more details I'm going to add but for the most part it is completed and open to the public now. As some of you might know I really needed a new site on a better server than I had before, and I found such a server on wordpress.com. So I built a brand new site for the "Avril lavigne Talk Show" network on wordpress network. As you might have guessed Talk Show has grown a lot this past year, we now have over 6,000 subscribers and average about 15 to 20 new subscribers per day. You do the math but we should hit 7,000 in a week or two. Our video views have reached 3 and a half million and a odd number of thousands so far, that's right, as I write this its at 3,557,511. The posts on the videos average about 30 to 40 a day at YouTube, its growing out of control so I needed a newer and better site to reflect that. The people go from youtube to the fansite and back and forth, and with this NEW site it will be a much nicer experience for all the subscribers. This forum is in no way connected to that network I am keeping this forum out of it. This forum is our private little haven unrelated to Talk Show, other than the fact I'm the owner. lol

Some random music notes: 1.My hands have become so unreliable and shakey,I quit playing my guitar.My amp went totally bad and instead of getting a new one,I gave my Epi to my nephew. I still have my acoustic-elec,but I don't know why. 2. I want to post a vid or two but I don't see the "embed" code at Youtube anymore.Can you get me back on track? I have some videos on how to home-build mobility chair ramps on YT I would like to post here too.If you wanna preview them,go to Youtube and search "home built mobility chair ramps". There are 5 parts. Iffen you think they would frighten the public,I won't post them. I still have my Miata (paid for! Yippee!) but I need the van now. 3.Still an Avril fan to some degree.

A year or two ago youtube moved there embed code so its not surprising your having trouble finding it.

Under the video find the grey text link that says "Share" and click it, its kinda hard to see because its color is not very noticeable and blends in with the background just enough to make it difficult to see. So once you find the "share" link click it and that will bring up some sharing options, so then you want to click the grey text link that says "Embed" option, and that will show you the embed code you can copy and paste here in your post.

Some things to note: before you copy the embed code you have the option of choosing a video "size" under the embed code, but if you don't want to to change its size just ignore it and copy the embed code as usual, however if you want to make the video bigger (which I like to do) choose a larger size not going over width 853 and then copy the code. The reason for not going over the width size of "853" is to ensure it fits nicely on the forum and the video doesn't get cut-off by the video being too wide by the borders of this forum, but like I said you can ignore changing the video size if you want because its default size is always smaller than 853 and just copy the code when it is first presented to you.

Now, there is a completely other way of posting a video that is actually a lot easier than the embed code way, that way is to simply copy the url of the video page you are on while viewing the video, then come back to the forum and while you are making your post click the little button above the writing area that looks like a piece of video tape and paste the url into the little box provided and then click "ok", that will add the video to your post also. The little video button above the writing area looks like this , just click that and paste the url into it.

So those are some posting video options, you can choose which method you'd like to use.

I don't need to preview the videos, because any video that is on youtube is perfectly safe and acceptable here, thanks for your discretion but we are guided by youtube and what they allow to be made public viewing.

You still have that car eh? That's great I always liked that car, which reminds me, if you need help with an avatar or something feel free to ask and I'll add a avatar for you with anything you want it to be. I'm not suggesting you get an avatar but if you would like one other than the forums default "No Avatar" I will help you with that.

No gypsy the new Talk Show doesn't have memberships like the old site had so no memberships were imported to the new site. What the new site has is "follow" options which if you have a wordpress account you could then follow Talk Show, and if you make comments on the site your posts will be recognized with your avatar and your avatar with be linked to your wordpress page. Same thing applies to facebook and twitter. There is listings of followers for wordpress, facebook and twitter on those accounts which you would be in it if you were following with one or all of those accounts.

Memberships and Memberlists are kinda becoming outdated and left for only forums to have any use for, whereas social networks use "follow us" and "Subscriptions" to take its place. The actual "Joining" of these sites actually takes place when you join the network then subscribe or follow one of the sites in that network, like facebook, twitter and wordpress and youtube. Those are social networks or just plain networks, you join the network then subscribe or follow the sites or accounts within that network.

I forgot to mention, if you are not a member of wordpress and logged in you will see a "Follow us" button at the bottom of the page, you can click that sign up for the site that way, it will actually sign you up for wordpress at the same time and you will be following Talk Show. You must go through wordpress, facebook or twitter to join is what I'm saying.

I don't think it actually signs you up for wordpress in the full sense of the word, it just joins you to the site. So let me reword and answer this whole thing differently. YES you can join by clicking that "follow" link at the bottom of the page.
