My dad, bought a stereo console when they began taking the place of HI-FI,, i remember it early 60s i think. it even came with an album called " SOUNDS IN SPACE" and it demostrated how stereo would seperate sound, anyway, in highschool of course I was in the 10th grade in 1966 as is the copyright of the album, and as all schools here, was an all white school. but MOTOWN was very popular, the first album i personally bought was the SUPREMES sing
