You know what really pisses me off? Is when you think you're starting to get good at a game (Boatzee) so you decide its time to enter a tournament (IYT) thinking your pretty damn good now, and then people come along and kick your fucking ass in the game! That really pisses me off.

I unwisely signed up for the ladders in Boatzee and if I don't win a single game in the next few days I'm resigning from the ladders, I'll just stick to chess and leave it at that as that seems to be the only game I'm good at..lol

If you can tolerate being cheated out of advancing up the ladders, on IYT, even when you win legitimately the ladders are the place to learn game playing strategies. The tournaments are meant to test how much game play strategy you've picked up from your regular games and the ladders. Personally I stopped playing in the ladders because I disagree with Mr. Chu's allowing what he calls "Strategic" game play which i call "Cheating". I just stick with my regular games and TRY to do my best in tournaments but like you, I find that I'm still not all that great of a player in anything but Backgammon and, i still loose as many as I win. +

How does someone cheat in Boatzee and some of the other games like Battleboats, and how is the ladders any different than tournaments as far as someones ability to cheat? The ladders is set up so if you win you advance up the ladder, I don't see how someone could manipulate the system.

boatzee, BG ,j, are for the most part, are luck games,I don't know how someone could cheat in those~

And I thought it was just me. I have a very good record at chess, but as soon as I entered a ladder in Jambles and another game,I was swamped.
