btw, what is Bama's record against Kentucky? I really have no idea. I know Kentucky hasn't beaten the Gators in 2 decades, but was wondering what Bama's record is against them.

Google the stats and post them if you get a chance.

well bama usually is lol, i just heard some talk on the sports radio, about who would pic it up, since so many are on this week, bama is unless they are playing a small college.then its pay per view, which i dont do, lol, but u would think us being rated NO 3 and playing kentucky it will be on tv,,i hope, but i may be gone to the community thing down at my daughters in laws barn, singing groups and every one bring a dish, and hay rides, and horseback riding, its an annual thing, and the eating starts at noon, but i would record it, in that case ,, i think its css tv station, that does the play backs for many games, like sunday nite ,and other times during the week, just have to see how things go...

ok i found the statitics on wins and losses, i copied it..

Alabama won 17-14 last year for its third consecutive victory over KENTUCKY since a 40-34 overtime loss in 1997. The Wildcats' only other win in the series, which they trail 2-34-1, came in 1922.

Well that's pretty impressive, Bama should win that game I think, no doubt. I hope so really, (no offense Gypsy) because that will better the chances of Bama playing the Gators later on in the season (a great matchup), then rosco and I can have another bet, with Avatars..ect.. lol

SSC, if you want to gamble and go with LSU Tigers beating the Gators, bring it on, will do a Avatar bet as well. As some of you know, whoever loses has to change their Avatar to something else as decided by both parties beforehand as to what it shall be. . In this case against LSU, I'll want SSC to sport a Mack Daddy Avatar with Obama's smiling face.. Bama vs Kentucky Wildcats 10-3-09 440643

She can decide what Avatar I will sport should the Gators lose.

I'll provide both Avatars and take care of the changing them out, and after a week put your regular Avatar back as normal. You don't need to do a thing but accept this bet. You know you want to.,, Bama vs Kentucky Wildcats 10-3-09 440643

Alabama wins, congrats rosco!

Bama didn't wreak them like we did, but they still won convincingly and was obviously the better team.

------------
Date: 10/3/2009
Alabama 38 Kentucky 20

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Mark Ingram ran for a career-high 140 yards and a touchdown to lead No. 3 Alabama past mistake-prone KENTUCKY 38-20 on Saturday.

Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy added a pair of scoring passes as the Crimson Tide (5-0, 2-0 SEC) pulled away from the Wildcats (2-2, 0-1) during a dizzying stretch in the second and third quarters when it scored 24 points in just over 5 minutes.

Fast Facts

• Alabama improved to 35-2-1 all-time vs. KENTUCKY as Mark Ingram rushed for a game-high 140 yards on 22 rushes, his second 100-yard game this season.

• The Crimson Tide have scored 30 or more points in their first five games of the season for just the second time in school history and first time since 1920.

• Greg McElroy completed 15 of 26 passes for 148 yards and two TDs. He has eight TD passes and zero interceptions in his last four games.

• KENTUCKY, facing a top-5 opponent for the second straight game for the first time in school history, has lost two straight since opening the season 2-0.

Game Stats & Information

Derrick Locke ran for 76 yards and added another 63 yards receiving for KENTUCKY but fumbled late in the first half. Alabama's Courtney Upshaw picked the ball up and sprinted 45 yards for a touchdown to give Alabama a 21-6 halftime lead and send the Crimson Tide off to the races.

Alabama turned four KENTUCKY turnovers into 17 points and had little trouble moving the ball after a sluggish start.

Crimson Tide players said in the days leading up to the game they weren't concerned about trying to match FLORIDA style point for style point after the top-ranked Gators demolished the Wildcats a week ago.

Maybe, but Alabama took a similar route to the same destination. FLORIDA buried KENTUCKY with a 31-point first-quarter deluge.

Alabama saved its run for the second and third quarters after nearly falling behind for the first time all season.

The Crimson Tide was backed up at its 3 when Trent Richardson was swallowed up by KENTUCKY's Micah Johnson in the end zone for what looked like a safety. Officials ruled that Richardson had managed to get the nose of the ball past the goal line.

It was all the breathing room Alabama would need.

Given the reprieve, the Crimson Tide steadily worked the ball downfield, with McElroy finding tight end Colin Peek for a 3-yard score to put Alabama up 14-6 with 41 seconds left in the half.

KENTUCKY tried to answer right back when Mike Hartline dumped the ball to Locke. Alabama's Rolando McClain stripped it loose, and Upshaw scooped it up and beat Hartline to the end zone to make it 21-6.

Things didn't get any better for KENTUCKY in the second half. Hartline threw an interception on the second play of the third quarter, and McClain returned it to the KENTUCKY 38. The Crimson Tide needed just two plays to score, as Ingram darted up the middle for 32 yards to make it 28-6.

Hartline threw his third interception four plays later and Leigh Tiffin drilled a 36-yard field goal to make it 31-6 with 10:18 left in the third.

Things got a little edgy late. The Crimson Tide was trying to milk the clock late in the fourth quarter with an 18-point lead when KENTUCKY started to call timeouts.

Alabama responded by running a fake field goal with 3 minutes left. The Crimson Tide converted when punter/holder P.J. Fitzgerald ran for a first down. McElroy ended the drive by throwing to the end zone on fourth down; the ball fell incomplete, but the message was delivered.

McElroy completed 15 of 26 passes for 148 yards, most of them throws underneath against a KENTUCKY defense determined not to get beat deep.

i was at the community thing, eating and had a band and other groups sing, hay rides, wagon rides , firetruck rides, its all put on my my daughters father in law each year,at his farm . just a half mile from me, and a pumpkin decorating contest, wow so much food, table about 40 ft long full, plus desert table, probably a 125 ppl or more,, then they did icream cones, they had a tv on so i saw some of the game i have it recorded and will watch later, im fixing to go watch my grandsons football game. but it is clear, we miss dant'a Hightower, the linebacker that is out with knee surgery, what bit i saw we did not put pressure on the quarterback,, plus kentucky usually plays us tough, bear bryant was their coach, i think i have this in order, then went to texas tech or A&M and the famous junction boys, and there had his only heisman trophy winner. no bama player since bryant started at bama has ever won the heisman,.. but we have a bunch of national championships,as bear played at bama when they called he came saying, Mama is calling, he came and never left, he retired there,, we clearly need work.. but another school that always plays us tough is Vanderbilt, for some reason they just play harder it seems, but kentucky played well, take care, one story goes, as kentucky especailly long ago, like in the 50s was mainly know for basketball,, they had a banquet , they gave the basketball coach a Cadillac and gave bear bryant a cigerette lighter, in a short time he quit.. is the story i heard, and somewhere he was at maryland i think before kentucky, but is dont have time to look it up,,, take care
