Yep, again I hear this brainless automaton say "The Republicans have no (healthcare) plan". Outta one side of her mouth she orders her House Committee to table the Ryan-Nunes bill, while outta the other side of her snout, she sneers (and lies) the repugs have no plan. This is Ryan's description of the bill: "My plan, The Patients' Choice Act, ensures universal, affordable health care for all Americans. Under The Patients' Choice Act, patients and doctors would control their health care decisions - not insurance companies and federal government bureaucrats. Equally important, my proposal does not raise taxes or increase government spending, but uses the money we currently spend more effectively." The details can be found at: www.house.gov/ryan/healthcare/

i only had time to read the quick summary of this, and as u know the devil is always in the details, so i would need to study it more to see if it does what i want one to do. now im not saying this one is about this only, it looks like it covers many things, like the tax credit, but my problems in the past about republican plans is they mainly just talk about medical saving plans, that to me just kinda leans helping the wealthy as most americans cant save for huge medical bills incase something happens,,, but i see this one goes farther, but i would need to study it more to speak on it any farther,,take care, its will get interesting, meemoon wrote: This is Ryan's description of the bill: "My plan, The Patients' Choice Act, ensures universal, affordable health care for all Americans. Our views of this plan are unimportant. My point is that Nancy Pelosi is a goddamn liar.

After reading my reply, I realized you could easily misread some harshness towards you, my pal Roscoe. Nothing could be further from the truth. Of course, this is an important issue for all of us,but not what my initial post was about. I am pushing no politician's plan, nor am I shilling for the Repubs, nor am I denouncing Obamacare. Obamacare may be exactly what you are looking for and that's fine with me. But I must say that I personally would look with a very jaundiced eye at any plan that has been supported with as much outright lying as Obamacare. If the car salesman tells me that "This fine automobile was only driven by a schoolteacher to school and back", the old broad better be sitting in it.

thanks marc, that was a very kind reply, trust me i never do much without reading the details, thats why i demand a opposing view on any political talk show, all of them, as u know it is always said the devil is in the details, i dont trust either side when they spew out the latest . catch phrase or sound bite of the day for their views of anything, , idont trust either side , they both only cherry pick the sound bite they want for the day, without explaining it all, there are some i think that are worse than others on tv about just handing out sound bites to scare pll, i never take them serious, untill i read the details, but on this the details change every day as they are still working on it, thanks marc, its walmart time, lol,,

That's good policy Roscoe, but the Dems are hiding the contents of this bill so well it has left the impression that everything is still "up in the air", and they blocked efforts to require the Senate to post the bill at least 72 hours before it is up for a vote. They know exactly what they want to pass but they have NO intention of publishing it. They are certainly intending to reduce spending for Medicare by 1/2 trillion dollars over the next 10 years. That is known and that is the major source of opposition among almost ALL the elderly. The people aren't dumb and it is my opinion that they (we) are growing more and more suspicious of what they are planning.

Of course Pelosi is a liar, that is what she does best.
The Reps have had a plan on the floor for weeks , but the Dems have refused to allow it to be brought forth, and when they did get a chance to introduce amendments last night they were treated rudely, and voted down, they had some good ideas.
The country looks better ??? I don't think so, unemployment is still rising, stimulus money not making much of a showing, businesses are closing, we are never being repaid for some auto bailout money and the deficit is going off the charts as the fed. keeps printing funny money..If this is better I don't want any more.

well i could be wrong, but i would guess that what is hard to do in the house , a balancing act, in the house some want the most liberal plan, to get their vote, some like the blue dogs want a more conservative
plan to get their votes, i imagine, they will strike a middle ground and something will pass the house. the senate probably will pass something.. even if it has to use the 51 vote way. but i wrote all this because if indeed something passes, i would love to be a fly on the wall, when or if the 2 bills go to conference to hammer out one bill for final passage,, i read one article and could post it, but basically it said that many reps. will not now read the bill as it is wrote in such legal terms its hard to understand, and is being changed into a more reader friendly version... i can post it if needed, but that basically it. all i want is something i can get on incase i loose my job, like a non profit insurance exchange i can join,as all plans even republican ones have to accept preexisting conditions.. and have if i qualify a tax credit to help me foot part of the bill, Lord knows i have paid enough taxes in my life. as i see ppl in real life that pay nothing, and complain, i sit and hear some and want to bless them out but i dont, but im getting close, lol, i think some that complain even take the" earned income tax credit", that means do they not only not pay a tax but get a refund anyway,,and still they complain about our government. while i pay alot of taxes being single.. i dont want a single thing to fail or our President i only want is security to improve, and every aspect of our society to gain,,, well its about time for one of my favorite movies, kevin cosner on AMC " For the love of the game" and i have watched it alot, take care. i took so long someone probably posted before this one

Good Post Rosco!! I call that an important post, no name calling, just right to the point. I don't care who writes the health care Dems/repubs, as long as it is a good basic plan for the people. I am willing to pay for my share~ i think 90% Americans will admit we need it an our ready for it..

as long as im working i dont mind paying more , if it will help ppl that do not have the luxury of a good insurance plan i have, ,, but im only one lay off away from nothing,my boss is going to retire at the end of the year, and he is not off with knee surgery, we have used insurance alot at work this year, with some ppl dieing after bad health issues, so i imagine the next time it renews it will go up alot as it did last year, its easy to figure, they take what they put out last year then add admin, cost and their profit, its not complicated,

I hope it Passes,I pray it does, many people are in that same boat. if it is passed,I think Obama /senate has the cost covered..our biggest expense for America is Medicare~ if it will cut those expenses it will pay for the new health reform..
