I Downloaded a "Smart" "C.D. Ripper"...but
It only RIPS the first 5 tracks and reduces them.

this pc i have is the windows media center edition ,, it does more things than i know how to do,or can imagine, i burn a music cd/dvd which is no big deal , , from window media player, or the windows media center. the media center is prettier, i have my favorite cds ripped to the computer, the albums are in both places, i just click the album picture it got off the internet when i ripped it, , and it opens with all the songs and it has a list of thing to do, and one thing on the list is create a cd/dvd. im not sure it will put music on a dvd, i have never tryed, i just make cds, from the albums, so i can have one of each in my car and truck, they are wma.i use dvds for videos only., on my older pc i had lots of converters,saved most in mp3 back then, and stuff, but i dont do much now, i have the music i want, the media center has not only music but all pictures and any media on the pc, i think i ripped the cds to the computer using the window media player before i even fiddled with the media center,,the player it has rip on the top and also burn,and other things, but i for a long time never even opened the media center , and i like it better, , but on both all my albums i have ripped to the pc is in the album library on each of them. long time ago i used music match jukebox, but i dont have it on this pc, i do my older one, but i have all i will need and also, im sure it does tons of stuff i know nothing about, being the media center edition pc that i ordered,, but it burns all the songs on the album, it list them, unless i tell it to leave some off, which i dont do,, i in the past have chose the quality of the sound, but i have not fiddled with that in so long,, i have all i need. i actually fiddled with music more on my older pc,than this one, i have over 200 individual songs on my older pc, i belonged to a music club, some women had, all u did was upload a song a week or u got booted off, and then requested a song or album u want, and someone would upload it, i was amazed at things ppl would upload that i had no idea they would have, but someone did,,,and i just downloaded it off the list,. i think they all had to be in mp3 that was years ago,,i forgot her name, she had some kinda disclaimer on the club.. and u had to have a friend recommend a new person to join from a member.. but again that was years ago...

I have a lot of programs I use for audio and video. I usually now days go to YouTube if I want a MP3 soundtrack or just want the entire video. I have programs that will extract and download just the audio part of the video in MP3 format, or I can download the entire video in high quality MP4 video format. I have converter programs also I use if I want to change the format of a video or an audio file.

Which prog do use use for downloading SOUND only from utube.

I have switch sound file convertor.

Its called "Easy YouTube Video Downloader". Its a Firefox Browser Extension. You must be using the firefox browser for it to work. Good luck

I did download Firefox...recently...from your link....but not opened the exe file yet.

I heard that one of them is unstable...will investigate further.

tyler will tell ur firefox is the safest and best i do believe,, i will tell u the pc shop i took my pc to a couple years ago, did not even ask me but put firefox on my pc and said run it, i still have ie8 on my pc and some things use it, like aol, but firefox is very popular and im sure tyler will tell u the same thing,

Brian is very interested in downloading music only from Utube...he is a member

He can download the videos with Real Player
but not the music only.

I have told him about firefox and there extension.

utube did say download with REAL PLAYER for videos.

But you give me the idea that you can download just the music..

Any further comment on this please....

Yes it is said that firefox is the safest regarding picking up viruses, spam ect...
But I have things blocking them anyway.
Everyone is blocking them..Yahoo... Incredi ...spybot...virus checkers. ect.

But Google must be tops for more info. Main browser .....
I did say the more browsers u have the more guff att. to it.

Everyone is trying to make you use their Browser.

If he doesn't want to download Firefox and use a video download extension he can download a program that will extract the audio or download the entire video. This one is not a Firefox browser extension its on your pc and anyone with the program can use it no matter what browser they use. This program below will download a video from YouTube, convert video to different formats, extract music,,etc. It does a lot. I have this program also.

Please don't ask me how to use the program I don't want to get into explaining how to use programs on this forum. I'll give links to programs but you have to figure out how to use them yourself. I simply don't have the time or energy to explain those things in a post. Thanks :)
