Well I will let rosco defend his own statements. I'm glad I'm out of the picture.. lol

I think rosco knows what hes talking about, I'm sure he could if he wanted to give examples of Bushes compassionate attributes. I'll leave that to him its not within my interest to say much more in that department.

I'll give you 5.

1) Under Bush’s leadership, America has increased development and humanitarian aid to Africa from $1.4 billion in 2001 to more than $4 billion per year now. He has doubled U.S. trade with Africa, and has launched the largest siege against AIDS and malaria there ever. Even though the challenge is never-ending, more than 800,000 Africans are currently receiving anti-AIDS medication thanks to George Bush’s priorities.

2) He has increased by millions efforts to clean America’s forests to reduce the threat of wildfires, and to restore those lost or damaged. He has further enhanced his environmental legacy by designating more than 190 million square miles of ocean as national preserves, including Hawaii’s Northwestern Islands. With few exceptions, America’s air, water and land are cleaner today than at any time since our industrial revolution.

4) The President literally doubled funding for community health care centers, expanding or creating 1,300 centers across the nation.

5) Although in some ways, pre-9-11 policies of both Clinton and Bush may have made us more vulnerable, Bush’s post-9-11 anti-terror policies - for better or worse - have kept us safe from another attack.

The Department of Homeland Security, the provisions of the Patriot Act, reforming the relationships between our intelligence agencies, the handling of captured enemy combatants at Guantanamo and - yes - the war in Iraq.

Whether intended or not, the Iraq war - besides liberating Iraqis from a despot and planting the seeds of a democratic ally in the most dangerous part of the world - distracted Al Qaida from plotting more attacks on the U.S. It drew them into a losing commitment, showing their darkest side to the people of Iraq and the world.

Their power and stature have been significantly diminished. Bin Laden is withering away in a dark Wiziristan cave, emitting an occasional feeble message to his wandering followers.

Thanks, Mr. Bush, for almost everything, but especially for the simple “cowboy” determination that has kept us and our homeland safe. A little rant 67629

good post tyler, i was on a more simple path, i thought BUSH was compassionate. in the fact , he seemed to me to be sincerely touched from his heart with emotion at times when talking, about events that happened during his term. i think the man had a soft heart.. but the bush era is over, way over, lol,,
actually he to me shows more emotion that obama......but i show emotion very easy and some ppl dont,,,im done.

Gypsy posted a response to this and it was completely messed up. She made a small reply in the QUOTE!

Pay more attention when you are posting.

First of all you have lost this debate. I proved with FACTS Bush was compassionate. Live with the facts. And if you have a retort make it clear and don't put your post in the quote.

Yes, Lost the debate. It doesn't matter what else was wrote in that article I pointed out the parts that was relevant to your claim Bush was not compassionate. I showed with FACTS, he was, his record proves that. Yes you lost, becuase your claims are unsubstantiated. Facts are something you are obviously uncomfortable with. You can't win arguments without facts. You have not in your writings convinced anyone that Bush was never compassionate. You have been proven wrong. You had no argument becuase you were wrong in the first place. Debating you on this subject was like shooting fish in a barrel. Easy.

Live with it. And think before you make statements you can't back up.

I'm done here..

You lose.

this and im done, i find it amusing that obama has kept so many of bushes policys going, like Guantanamo bay. i mean obamas term is coming toward its later days and still things in the bush era are still going, overseas, but obama learned some things have to be in order to keep our nation safe. the republicans dont seem to have a problem with obama foreign policys as its close to bushes, the only problem is about fiscal issued, ...and i agree with most all of obamas fiscal issues , his tax structure and medicare and such as that, i have no problem.. i wish obama well trying to keep the wolves at bay. on taxes and healthcare. i think the republicans soft spot is ppl will see they as always cater to the rich in taxes and not the middle class. this match will have to be done just right in order for ppl to dodge the republicans smoke and mirrors on taxes and such, I found it humorous that when they took the voice vote on the temporary bill to keep the gov. running a few more days. the loud one man shout of NO came from kentuckys Rand Paul... so the ppl of kentucky that voted him in and McConnell in dont back obama, however i dont know if obama carried kentucky in the last election,or was kentucky a Bush state..?? well im rambling, keep in mind , i back obama in most all things, especially taxes, and retired ppl,, take care

Obama supports the wars, in fact hes glad they happened because he knows now it should have happened. He understands what it is to be president now, after getting his feet wet doing the job, and he is getting more information now than he ever thought he would receive. He now understands Bushes situation, and is basically doing what he would have done.

I guess you could say George Bush is kinda a role model for Obama. He respects him immensely. He is following in George Bushes footsteps.

Gypsy I am going to be very blunt about this and get straight to the point. You don't know what is really happening in the world. You are blinded by hate of George Bush. Any Christian can see this. Its obvious to people that don't harbor hate. You need to get off your obsession of Bush. It is wrong. He was your president and protected you.

I am officially done with this conversation. Say what you want, may God help you.

first i agree with both of tylers post, and i doubt Rand Paul and mitch Mconnell in ur state could have won and mconnell has won time after time, i dont think this possible without many working class votes,i know senators jeff sessions and richard shelby in my state get working class votes. most the ppl i work with and ppl i know vote for them. i have said i agree with obamas fiscal policy. so i believe as u do. i only think u misjudge how many dont share our position on that. we are still in iraq .. getting out eventually, and will see if the intervention was a good thing if iraq can stand on its own.. the middle east is a powder keg. i hope it does not change the outcome of how iraq turns out, im done, im tired of saying the same thing over and over, this is my postition,,, take care,,
