‘Aftershock’ Book Predicts Economic Disaster Amid Controversy

Realizing that the worst was yet to come, Wiedemer and company quickly penned “Aftershock.” However, just before it was publicly released, the publisher yanked the final chapter, deeming it too controversial for newsstand and online outlets such as Amazon.com.

“We got lucky,” DeHoog said. “I happened to read the original version, which contained this ‘unpublished chapter,’ which I think is the most crucial in the entire book. Wiedemer gave Newsmax permission to share this chapter with our readers.”

With daily economic forecasts projecting doom and gloom and no recovery in sight, people need to learn how to survive economic disaster. During the past quarter alone, unemployment skyrocketed to 9 percent. Unlike many conservatives, I don't frequent conserv blogs. I know they are full of info, but the story gets depressing after a while. I just can't find a credible rosy outlook anywhere. Even the libs seem to be in total damage control and the WH seems chaotic. Obama is at the podium calling on Congress to vote on his stimulus bill while AT THE VERY SAME TIME Reid is tabling the bill so nobody can vote on it. The Dems even strip the Repubs of all debate ability on the stimiulus bill while idiotically calling the Repubs the "party of no". What in the hell is THAT? Holder apparantly either totally dropped the ball on the Phoenix program or is a liar. You couldn't write these scenarios and keep a straight face.These are the signs of panic and disorganization. Fortunately for the Dems, they always have the "It's George Bush's fault" argument. They love that and STILL USE IT!

Holder is guilty as sin and will go down in the end, but the trail is not stopping with him Obama is not going to get out of this either.
The blame Bush excuse is as lame as a one legged duck. Obama has proved he is nothing but a street mentality wanna be . President ..no..!! Reed blocking the vote , when Obama was calling for an immediate vote shows just how weak the Dems have gotten. Their ranks are running like dogs in the opposite direction. I am not crazy about the Repub. field right now but anything is better than the mess we are in now. I was leaning toward Perry but his immigration stance is very weak, being a border state I expect better from him.

I don't think Obama will have a second term. Whether or not he counted on it I have no idea. Probably not.

I think the biggest reason Obama will not have a second term is the shape the economy is in right now. Unless he can miraculously turn it around he will not be reelected. I have no idea who can. One person or president doesn't have the answers. Any politician that says they do is kidding themselves and the public. It may be there theory.. Its takes many people to figure out complex issue like that. One person (president elect) doesn't hold the answers.

I wish Jeb Bush was running I'd vote for him, not because I think he holds the answers to our economy problems, but because Obama didn't fix it I'd go with Jeb Bush. He could get advice from his father and brother on other issues too if he needed it. That's a plus. But he ain't running so forget that.

i have no opinion on the next election, right now, but as clinton said and i have repeated here before
, " its the economy stupid," but the reason i cant tell how it will go, is i dont see a shining star on the republican side,, as of now, so i think that keeps obama in the race, but time for things to develop, i will wait and watch, take care

Yeah you might be right on that Obama doesn't really have any competition right now. So I will retract my statement that Obama will not get a second term. He damn well could if no Republican steps up to the plate that can beat him. I don't see any right now.

I think Romney can beat him, but I don't like Romney.

I agree Moon but I am also not a big Romney fan.

i will make a statement but not argue the point , just giving a view or guess, which may be totally wrong and not work out that way, but watch and see if im even close, , now in the election if Romney is the candidate the conservatives would probably vote for him no matter, , but in a republican primary, i think being a Mormon will hurt him in the south,in some states,just an opinion when he is among other republican candidate choices , but not in other parts of the country and just certain very conservative southern states which dont carry alot of weight, this is just something to watch with nothing to back it up just a feeling. and curious to see if it turns out that way, but i may be way wrong., like i said a feeling.

As long as we're being so agreeable; I'll agree with you. This is funny. Romney's religion irks me more than it does religious people. They see Mormonism as another legitimate religion. I don't. Like islam, it was started by a nut-case with a messiah complex.
