i know this is a video but news also, they are playing on sports radio a hank williams jr song, IF THE SOUTH HAD WON WE WOULD HAVE IT MADE.i think a new song, i could not find it on tube, but i did find the reason hank was kicked off monday nite football, and maybe the song had something to do with it also, but its been big news here on the radio sports show i listen to ,, i wish i had the song its really funny, like the cities in the south he would have put things, u may have heard it, anyway here is his interview and headlines on the vid, take care

I like Hank Williams Jr but lets face it, he makes his money being a redneck. That is his image and he caters to it. I don't think he knows anything about politics or the world. I certainly wouldn't take any stock in anything he says. Hes an Entertainer, that's it.

oh sure ur totally correct, he knows who butters his bread and plays to the redneck crowd, which i guess is ok he has made lots of money with it, everyone has there slot, and that is his, i posted only because the talk on jocks or jox radio, show i listen to from here but its on sirus also, he was the big talk of the week not all the talk its a long show, but lots of callers talked about his being kicked of monday nite football,, i can only listen to it while i drive to work, and heard that song every day,, thats why i thought its a new song out but i was wrong.. shock value is what it was to stir the pot, so he will stay alive in the entertainment venue .

yep, he found his audience. Those other artist like Charlie Daniels singing about "the south is gonna do it again" is another redneck song. What are they gonna do, lose again? Totally ridiculous. But besides all of that they are catchy tunes, and are fun to listen to. But really silly if you think about what they are saying.

The reason ESPN ousted Williams was a reference in comparison to Obama and Boehner playing golf together was like Hitler and Netanyahu playing golf together utterly ridiculous. Of course the media ran with it as usual. Williams will not back down nor should he, it was his view and opinion which he was entitled to.
I have listened to his music and that of his fathers for years, but it not only appeals to the so called rednecks but the college aged group also, I think being a rogue is his appeal and it certainly is working for him.

Williams does not need to back down, but if he wants to save his career he better. His redneck shit is outdated, intelligent people don't think that way anymore. Hes rusty. Tyler, Williams has pulled off his style for years and years and it has worked for him. A simple phrase at the beginning of a football game won't make or break him, but what it is doing is making him richer. All the media attention has boosted him up again. The man has made his millions. I was watching Fox the morning he made the statement and it was taken out of context , Fox jumped to say they did not always agree with statements by guests on their show. Williams in a latter interview explained what he was trying to say. But if he did refer Obama to a likeness of Hitler well the way things are going he may not be to far off.

OK, well I agree hes a rich man for doing his redneck thing. He can retire right now and not have a care in the world. What he said about Obama I didn't pay attention to, its not interesting to me. I don't care about his political views. I was just focusing on Williams "continued" career. Yes Redneck music is still popular and I like some of it. I just am not a redneck and some of the music is catchy. Williams is a musician, not a politician.

Very true SSC now you are getting my meaning. As an example here, this is how I would address the music business. This is how I would do it. I was in a band in the 80's and we played like this and looked like this. This band is a new band 2011 that is doing what we used to do in the 80's. Turn up your volume. :)

Reminds me of Kiss, good PR and a sought after look-statement . I listen to a broad variety of music, I prefer the oldies (my era) but over the years alot of good listening has come forth.

Yes me too. I am older now and can't preform that way anymore, but I can still play my guitar that way. I love many styles of music. Most musicians do. Did you know Paul Stanley of KISS is a huge Garth Brooks fan? Yes thats right. :)

I love old Garth like friends in low places, don't care for the rock scene!

I didn't know that Tyler, very interesting. I think there is alot of cross admiration in the music industry, as it should be .

I was watching "Fox & Friends" when Hank screwed up. He said "expecting Connolly and Reid to work togethet would be like expecting Hitler and Natanyahu to work together." He was dropped the next day.

did u notice in the interview he had his alabama cap on . i really dont care what he said, in a way he is correct, it was the hitler factor that got him, if he had compared Natanyahu getting along with some lesser know Palestinian in the news now,, or if he was still alive arafat ,, it probably would have passed unnoticed , it was the name hitler that got him, but like i said not a big deal with me, he was working his audience .as they say bad publicity is better than no publicity , take care
