A little change up topic here away from politics . It just amazes me to know how many people are into cyber sex. I play several game sites and it seems to be a trend to have the first question on a game ASL (age-sex-location). Really ? What happened to the days of Hello my name is so and so ? But the kicker is how common this practice has become . Is it bored housewives? Is it bored unemployed men with the wife out working ? What can possibly be the pleasure in this sort of action ? A few months back a man who played on a site I do was arrested for soliciting sex from what he thought was a 13 yr. old girl. She turned out to be an undercover agent, can you say go to jail do not pass go. His computer was seized and a wealth of contacts were obtained. Thank you for modern technology. I guess I am just old school but this is just appalling to me .

I agree SSC I don't see the attraction in cyber sex. How people get off on that I have no idea. I don't and never have done that. I have no will or want to do that ridiculous act. Good grief, I like a real woman in my bed.. lol
How can anyone get off reading words????? I will never understand that.

Tyler I so agree, reading words on a screen good lord what in the world can be the pleasure of that. There is nothing remotely natural about that at all.

I understand it completely. I cleaned out an aprtment that had been occupied by a normal looking single guy and found a cassette of a little girl being molested by her father. These freaks are the same types who keep personal items taken from murder victims. They re-live the fantasy. The internet supplies them with a source; let's hope it doen't offer them sanctuary.runawayhorses wrote:I agree SSC I don't see the attraction in cyber sex. How people get off on that I have no idea. BTW: I've been surfing for 7 years now and I've never seen an example of "kiddie porn". At first, I thought all this fear of that was just hysteria. Then someone pointed out that if you're not looking for it,you won't see it. SSC's post indicates to me that there must be plenty out there looking for it.

It is sad there are such sick individuals in the world but they are all well disguised . Facebook did a sweep and came up with 300,000 registered pedifiles, haven't heard the stats on Myspace but since these are frequented by kids the numbers will no doubt be high. Parents should monitor their childrens activity on the net for sure but it is the grown adults that floor me . Is it an ego trip to have a faceless person typing sweet words on a friggin screen that is appealing? Good lord get a life, do something productive. One site I play, game players have a space to write a blurb, 50% of the women have noooo sex talk..One up swing is new laws are being put into place to help with this matter.

Definitely. At the end of porn clips you will often see a statement that the video complies with Fed Stat 2257 (I think) and that proof of ages is on file at a "keeper of documents". Portraying minors in sex axcts is very illegal.runawayhorses wrote:Is Cyber sex illegal?

"The Child Protection and Obscenity Enforcement Act of 1988, title VII, subtitle N of the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1988, Pub. L. No. 100-690, 102 Stat. 4181, enacted November 18, 1988, H.R. 5210, is part of a United States Act of Congress which places stringent record-keeping requirements on the producers of actual, sexually explicit materials. The guidelines for enforcing these laws (colloquially known as 2257 Regulations (C.F.R. Part 75), part of the United States Code of Federal Regulations, require producers of sexually explicit material to obtain proof of age for every model they shoot, and retain those records. Federal inspectors may at any time launch inspections of these records and prosecute any infraction.runawayhorses wrote:Is Cyber sex illegal?

OK, but I'm just taking about writing things in a Cyber sex fashion. Is that against the law? Of course I don't condone it but I'm curious and is it legal. It seems to me it just two people writing. I really don't know or do I care that much, it just doesn't seem to me like any laws are being broken.

The Feds have been drawing up laws as fast as they can, the solicitation of sex-yes is illegal, any sex act graphically discussed is carnal knowledge if with a juvenile also considered endangerment of a juvenile, cyber sex is now grounds for divorce and accepted in a court of law, exchange of porn pics is illegal as is webcamming with sexual content.

I just saw an ad on Craig's. Some woman says she wants a "generous" boyfriend to whom she can show her gratitude every week. (Once a week on Sunday? hehehe)SSC wrote:The Feds have been drawing up laws as fast as they can, the solicitation of sex-yes is illegal, any sex act graphically discussed is carnal knowledge if with a juvenile also considered endangerment of a juvenile, cyber sex is now grounds for divorce and accepted in a court of law, exchange of porn pics is illegal as is webcamming with sexual content.

Believe me,I have NO problem with prostitutes. I don't avail of them (anymore) but I am NEVER their enemy. This sounds like a joke, but I mean it: I'd rather do business with a prostitute than a lawyer. I've done both.SSC wrote:LOL..I read several months ago they were in the process of trying to clean up Craigs List, but when one is cleaned a dozen more pop up plus countless chat rooms.

Actually, Ebay and Craigs are very different. Craig's lists are local. Generally nothing is delivered, you pick it up and pay cash. I bought a new, still in the plastic, Sealy mattress and an off brand new box springs for $200. Saved about $300
