That direct link Candy posted is real good too, I like the big picture. I think the other cam links SSC posted you have more cams to choose from, different areas etc, all the links worked for me but one was off-line at the moment. The one Candy posted is online now and like she said a direct link.
Tnaks to both of you for posting them I'll check whats going on every now and then. :)

I think it is 6pm central time, there will be parades for the next 2 weeks Mardi Gras day is Feb 12, next weekend is SuperBowl so not sure how many parades will roll in uptown New Orleans, but there should be a cam for Jefferson Parish parades
I took the 1st link off it was from last year, the last link has 12 cam options if you scroll down the page

Must be just past Midnight our time. About 7 hours difference.
I see the different cams when I scroll down, but they do not seem to be working for me at the moment.
I did not realize there were parades for the next two weeks.
I thought there was only one parade.
Watching what goes on is facinating.
The Horses are working hard...saw a white Horse. One Horse I thought maybe was struggling to pull about 8 people.
I wonder what that vendor on the corner is selling,? I never see him sell anything.
Well there is nothing on Tele I want to watch to-night. So I might as well watch all the people milling around.

The first link you posted Candy is the best one for me so far, the sound is better too. I'm not sure where it is in the parade, looks like the bad side of town..lol

I thought everyone was well behaved and very friendly...
Not seen anyone laying in the road drunk...or any fights.
Why someone does not get hit by a car is a A Miracle.
No traffic lights at the junction, fancy that!

Well I wasn't speaking of peoples behavior I was talking about the way that corner looked, kinda run down, but then again that's a old city. I'm used to beaches and highrise hotels I guess. lol

It must have been one of the French Quarter cams, as Mardi Gras gets closer the streets become a sea of people.

Just woke up to come online for a few minures and people are still up walking around on the cam..lol Makes me feel old knowing I was sleeping while they are up. I don't see anyone drinking but perhaps its the location of the cam. I should check some other cams.
Yeah SSC that might be French Quarter I don't know.

I am hoping SSC will give us an inside view on things.
It's like looking at Mars with a lot of Ants moving about.
It reminds me of our seasides when people use to flock to-gether and walk up and down the promenade eating candy floss and ice cream.
It was considered taking in the air and deep breathing the Ozone from the sea.
(All I could smell was Gas from the Gas Works)
Displaying your self to be viewed with a Kiss Me Quick hat.
I use to gasp at the sun burnt bodies. But of course one had to try and get a Tan.
Did you not see the skinny black man dancing around possible drunk in bottom right of the screen.
He was jigging around on one spot for ages.

I watched the Dog Parade last night, never seen so many dogs.
Even the dogs are well behaved.
Saw two Police on Horses.
A group of Lots of people walked by playing instruments.
You can go into the Archives and watch previous 24 hours.
You can also zoom in a little.
I wondered if there was a power cut last night at some stage.
very dark and suddenly got lighter.
I wonder if the Hustler has to apply for a street Permit.

That dog parade was the Krewe of Barkus, the impromptu street preformers don't have permits but the food venders, tarot card readers, face painters and artists do have permits.

Perhaps the weather has got something to do with it.

Since you said it timed-out that sounds like your internet connection and SOL issue, and yes a storm could interfere with your connection. Please keep me informed if it happens again, but most likely its a connection issue, just happened to strike while you were here.

Candy no rain here yet, our storms are due in the early morning hours, if the streets look wet it is because they hose them every morning to keep them clean
