Woke up to a dusting of snow on the ground now followed by freezing rain and I have things to go do today...Kids got a SNOW DAY !! Thank you so much school board....It is going to be colder tonight, right now all bridges into New Orleans are closed and all bridges from New Orleans to Baton Rouge are closed so it is a you can't get there from here day.

More snow, sleet and freezing rain predicted for Tues. and Wed. These kids are so excited, more snow days out of school. Now the drivers down here are another thing only 200 wrecks with the last ice issue.

We're getting snow tonight with accumulation. The first in 24 years! Gonna be crappy the rest of the week. Many wrecks;the locals crazy go nuts.

I saw you were getting it too, we go below freezing at around 10 tonight and will stay freezing till mid-day on Thursday, I am stocked up fired off the generator and have extra gas just incase. Our last snow was Fri a dusting and back in 2004 we had a pretty big snow

Not much snow in my area but tons od sleet on the ground and the freezing rain is beginning to weigh the trees down, hope this is an uneventful night for power outages. Every main highway into New Orleans is closed as are hundreds of other bridges. The South is at a standstill for tonight...
