spinach
black beans
tomatoes
carrots
and bluberries

these foods can also be eaten daily, even by diabetics..

so-so for the heart but most are not good for diabetics but in a very minimal amount

as i stated earlier these foods can be eaten by diabetics and are the healthiest foods..

Most have to be consumed in very moderate amounts due to sugar contents

a 1/4 cup to a 1/2 is allowed daily..of these particular foods..as most foods, according to the docs and julie child ,moderation.. is the key to all eating/

many foods are allowed by one Dr. and not another and Julia Childs is not a Dr. just a TV cook. Carrots, tomatoes and ripe blueberries all contain high amounts of sugar, thus being limited in a diet.

also suggested by my doc, eat these over all good for u foods, and cut out breads, and other foods that are not as good for one, and eat these in the quanties suggested in my earlier post~

I just completed the VA hospitals updated nutrition course for Heart-Blood Pressure and Diabetes as I deal with all 3 with my husband, I know what I was told and will not run the risk with his health and stray from the diet plan we were given omitting several of your items.

I control my diabeties,with out med, now for four years, and have no problem,I eat the foods i put because my Doctor gave them to me in a list of foods i can eat, of course in moderation as in all foods~
