I just received a message that Daddy-o's wife Sue passed away yesterday on their 37th anniversary. Many of us know him from the IYT message boards and games there.
My deepest heartfelt sympathy goes out to him and their family.

I met Daddy-O right after IYT shutdown their boards and I started my forum, it was the old forum (Aceboards) when people were joining like hotcakes, it was very busy at that time and I was running around trying to answer everybody's questions, and I remember Daddy-O joining. I remember he posted a pic of a book he wrote on with Microsoft Paint that read "Tyler's Toolbox". I was fascinated that someone would take the time to do that, and also that the segment on IYT's "Chess Opponents Board" reached people I had never even heard of before, but somehow he knew me from that weekly post I used to make and much to my surprise many other people too. At the old forum people asked me to start posting those segments again, I did for awhile and then I slacked off. I always had plenty of readers but few would reply/post to it, but I got plenty of PMs over it..lol

For those of you that aren't familiar with it, it was a weekly post I would make on the COB all about computers and the tools (software) to make your PC run better. I did it for a long time and sometimes people would ask me questions, but I never knew of a Daddy-O until he joined and made that pic of "Tyler's Toolbox". I did it then becuase so many people were arguing and bitching about "whatever", I wanted to post something in an attempt to break the monotony, it was my way of saying "I don't give a shit about your bickering" I guess, but I had no idea people were actually reading it..lol I met Figi thru that segment I posted too, she PMed me with a question if I remember correctly. I liked Figi right away, we hit it off good.

Sorry to hear about his wife, that's too bad.

I consider Daddy_O a real pal and I am deeply sorry to hear of his loss. He was always very kind and helpful towards me and I have no doubt he will mourn and then carry on.
