Winter Storm
A large limb blocks Highland Church Road in Paducah., Ky., on Jan. 27, 2009. Roads throughout western Kentucky were impassable because of fallen trees, utility poles and power lines. Ice up to 3 inches thick was reported across the Midwest and South as the storm moved east.
