That sounds really good rosco I love all of that. I make fried catfish pretty well. But Walmart has some good dinners no doubt about that. I like Winn Dixie's deli. I get subs there a lot. Its close to where I live so I get most of my food there.

walmart steam table meals are not fast food, a wide variety of meats and cold and hot side orders, from broccoli salad to 4 kinds of potato salad, as i said tonight i had collard greens and mac and cheese, and ranch wings, and a roll, i could have got cole slaw and potato salad, they have red potato salad , or amish potato salad or devil egg potato salad, or mustard potato salad, i cut grass today so im tired and been asleep on the couch, they have 3 subways close to me one is in walmart as u leave, and as u know subways are healthy, anyway i tell the doctor what i eat.. and he says well ur cholesterol is good , so im doing fine... i do eat burgers but not ones with thick meat, just small ones i take to work, and i eat only one, but again my dr says thats fine because my cholesterol is good, and my stress test showed all my arteries wide open...and my echo gram good,..,they closed our winn dixie,, but as i said walmart has a subway in the store, sometimes i do that but its hard to pass the steam table meals.i probably eat just as good now or better, as when i was married, because we use to make gravy all the time, with fryed beef, like battered cube steak or battered pork chops.. and now i eat usually most all chicken or fish, my breakfast which i eat at noon, is usually bananas or cheerios.the dr does have me drink and ensure, and i take a mens one a day vitamin, and a maintenance aspirin.i wish i had my wife back, but i dont so i do the best i can, take care

ok i was editing while u wrote ur reply, like i told u we use to always save bacon grease. and use it in many things like corn bread, and to season thinks i forget now, i always liked bacon grease in corn bread, when making it, but i dont even buy bacon, or hardly anything, lol, i do need to buy some smoke sausage be it turkey smoke sausage or anykind because i have a pack of mahatma red beans and rice, i like sausage cut up in it, with corn bread on the side

I'm thinking about making some chili this week. I like saltine crackers with it. I'll post my recipe I use this week. For left overs I get some hotdogs and make chili-dogs. :)

is mahatma a question???? u know what that is, they make all kinds of rice packages, yellow rice with saffron seasoning, and they make a large pack of rice with dryed red beans and seasoning in it, so all u do is brown the cut up sausage, put in the water the mahatma calls for with butter it calls for and bring it to a slow boil i think then add the package of red beans and rice with the seasoning in it, and simmer it for like 15 minutes till the rice is down and its as thick as u want, i have had it a ton of times when married , long ago we did it with hamburger, but smoke sausage cut up is better, usually u get 2 lengths of sausage in a pack, u use only one .. cut up diagonal or straight cut..like1/4 to 3/8inches thick but the browning of the sausage in the large frying pan, u cook the red beans and rice in it, so make sure u brown it enough to make some brown meat crust, on the pan, u know, ,,it tells u the water but says use 1/4 cup more to make it more saucier.. just make sure the beans and rice are done, u cook it covered, a large fry pan, but the package of mahatma red beans and rice has all the instructions,
