The good people of Great Britain have a beloved and time-honored delicacy, a steamed suet pudding known as spotted dick.

Do What...We do not eat that any more...

We ate it because we were hungry....it was filling and kept us warm.

I would not call that a delicacy...

Took ages to steam in a pudding cloth...possibly two hours.

I loved steamed Suet Meat Pudding...

well u did not specify what kind of potato's , like whole bake potatoes cut up and fried, i was talking about and perhaps u were also u just did not say, was mash or some ppl call them whipped potatoes, left overs, or u could use mash potatoes u just made, put some flour and finely chopped up onions in them and pat them out into like a pancake and fry in a skillet, just as u would a pancake, just enough flour to hold it together where it would not break apart, that amount of flour would have to be learned . i imagine somewhere there is a recipe for it, but i know there is a language difference between britain and america , so im not sure what "bubble and squeek" are. i did not mention vegetables, im sure there would be some kind of vegetables u could cut up and put in, but i never have had that, only onions, and u would not have to have onions, but my mom put them in, cut up finely,,,

Well you can make bean cakes, corn cakes(fritters) I make mine with 2cups mashed taters seasoned with salt/pepper, of course a bit of cayenne, to taste one egg enough self rising flour to make it hold together, and I add a teaspoon of mustard ,mix well ,drop in to hot 1/4cup of oil just enough to cover skillet.flatten a bit with spoon, if you moisten the spoon in a cup of water each time you dip for potato mixture it won't stick to spoon, fry until golden and then flip and fry the other side~ serve with a dollop of sour cream

well i worked till late in the yard, the game was on and i had to shower and did not want to drive to get a subway or order a pizza, so i did not have smoke sausage, but had a can of walmart brand luncheon meat, which is like spam so i cut the meat up, in 1/4 inches thick and about an inch the other way, and fryed it brown and then added a bit over 3 cups water to the meat, after it was good and brown then added the bag of red beans and seasoning of mahatma red beans and rice, to the frying pan and u get it to a boil then let it simmer covered for 15 minute or until u like how it looks, and the beans are cooked good, and not hard as they are dryed beans, anyway, i ate it all and it was a big skillet full, i was to tired to cook corn bread so i had saltines cracker with it,
