I had two Trogens yesterday.

It was pointed out by my A.V.G. Virus Scanner.

A.V.G. Quarantined
one,
but could not deal with the other.

So I ran a full scan of my computer with Spybot

and it was found. Took two hours to run the complete scan.

The Trogen was named Win 32 B.H.D Aew. (Which I assume is in the Registry)

The piggy backs on the Trogen were

4...Four Highjackers

placed in my Incredimail.

(I could hear them downloading info..sounded like the clunk you get when
downloading music ect;

I might add... beware of deleting some Toolbars, because an application or program might be attached to it and dissapear.

I have the license number of the paid program I lost, and will now have to scratch
my head to retrieve it.

I would not have a program that insisted on a toolbar to function.

I told you about the dangers email programs such Incredimail that download email to your harddrive.

Are you really using Google Chrome or do you just have that in your profile? Because Spybot is mostly used for Internet Explorer and Internet Explorer gets more Trojans and viruses then any other browser.

Yes I always only use Google Chrome to search the Web. I use nothing else.

Incredimail has a Toolbar that cannot be deleted, but I do not use it.

The paid program that I lost was Babylon first introduced by Incredie.
I know they collect info ...just like others. But those I am told what they are collecting...like right clicks or left clicks.
I have used Babylon for the past 4 years.

I did not know that Spybot was mainly used by Internet Explorer.

Yes The Browser for IE is suspect and old. (I do not use it)

These are my two thoughts...do not know if I am right or wrong.

Facebook...or...I am wondering about the links that come up at the end of your page that takes me to peoples sites. (I am wary of clicking on them now)

Then I wouldn't click them. Stay away from anything that looks suspicious, including facebook. I'm not going to reassure you that any links are safe that are on this forum. I'm not going to reassure you of anything. You surf the internet at your own risk and you make your own decisions on what sites you think are safe and what isn't.

I on the other-hand have no problem clicking them because I feel safe in doing so.

I see no reason why you feel the need to use IE to get to your "Home Page". That makes no sense whatsoever. Any browser can do that.

It is the Gremlin that jumped on to the sites that is the problem.

Candy I have no problems from this site at all, I have never had anything attach from here. IYT is full of trouble and you mentioned Incredimail, I had big issues with it a few years ago. Many adult sites are also risky places to visit, nasty little attachments come with them. Tyler has always maintained the highest security for this site and the safety of its members.

Incredi has Glitches but only small ones.

Us ladies put up with the Glitches because we like to do creations in letter creator.

I think I downloaded the Trogens from a SHARING SITE. One I had not seen before.

I was downloading stuff for Paint Shop Pro. from a site I had joined.

I think they would all ready know.

I am about to run Ccleaner to make sure there are no segments left in my Registry.

That's great Candy I'm glad you finally got rid of that thing. It was as easy as Uninstalling it huh? Wow that would have been the first place I checked, but I assumed you already had done that so I didn't mention it. But I guess you didn't know the name of it at the time. Well good, that thing is gone and won't bother you anymore.

Yeah those programs always open a browser and say something like "sorry to see you go" or " Are you sure you want to uninstall this program?" or "Please fill out this forum and tell us why you're leaving". Big pain in the arse..lol
