u drop napalm on a tree lines where the north vietnamese are shooting motars at u, my boss said he would have never survived, if he had not been raised down here in the heat, because vietnam weather is just like here hot, but they have the monsoon, i guess.,did u see forest gump, when he was pulling ppl to saftey,, the fire was napalm, the white shooting things was white phosporus, ( spelling) its what they call willy p. if it gets on u, u cant stop it from burning even with water, it keeps burning deeper into the body, i think u dig it out,we trained with it some , mosty watching it like in a hand grenade, a white phosphorus one, but bigger ones are droped from planes,

It is not all about destroying the country as you put it. The napalm attacks saved many American soldiers lives. War is not to be relished as you put it, maybe a napalm drop is a necessity of saving lives.

napalm is no differnent than a forest fire , u use it to kill pll that are killing u, the vegetation will grow back like after a fire especially in a jungle , what would killl permantly was agent orange, if u remember, but the north vietnamese were in tunnels and we were trying to get rids of the cover, i dont know if this could be true , maybe, i had a history professor in college, he said for the time we spent and the money we spent in vietnam and this was in 1970 that we could take earth moving equipmnent and bulldoze down teh whole north vietnam,

Agent Orange was a defoliant used to clear the perimeters of base camps, to give visibility and prevent attacks , it has become the most common name in the chemicals used, there were also Agent Red, green , blue, yellow, all were herbicides or defoliants, Agent Orange has been the main one known to cause cancer as well as a host of other medical issues. Many Wildlife and Fisheries used this chemical to kill nuisance plants blocking waterways in the US, especially in the southern region.
