You can change your avatar in your profile page. To link to an image from photobucket copy the HTML code under the pic and add it to your post.

Go to your profile page then click the link that says "Avatar" from there you can upload one from your computer by clicking the browse button, or alternatively link to it by coping the "direct" link to a pic at photobucket. The Avatar cannot exceed width 150 pixels by height 200 pixels. Or you can choose an already made and uploaded Avatar from our Avatar gallery. Click the button "Show Gallery" to choose one of those if you like.

I have just gone to Gallery and resized the photo of me to 200 X 150

But how do I get it into my avatar.

click the browse button then click a pic then click open then click save in your profile. The avatar gallery you don't need to do any of that.
