We're gonna have a few great weather days. Should hit 80 by Friday. I'm having trouble making up excuses for NOT doing the work around here I should do. BUT I WILL PREVAIL! (and not do a damn thing)

Amen Moon, I feel the same way, we will be close to 80 today but the cold is knocking on our door step, The rain will start as the front moves in, high tomorrow is to be in the 50's with a cold windy rainy day. Fog has been a big problem for us visibility was less than an 1/8th mile this morning. My friends in Mo. are getting sleet early this morning with ice and snow on the way. This might be the winter I come out of retirement, wouldn't mind working an ice storm. At least I have the cabin at Branson winterized and could stay there if necessary, really considering doing x-mas up there with the family.

Cold windy and rainy but the search for the perfect Christmas tree will begin soon, might as well use these girls to help decorate today.

It is sunny but friggin cold, the wind will cut you in half.

Hot- cold storms last night at 2am it was 73 now it is 59 guess the front is finally coming on in. I have shopping to finish ugggggg so this rain needs to move on out of here.

What a nasty end to Mardi Gras, cold in the low 30's rain mixed with sleet and even a few snow flakes, but the party rolls on, my crowd came through this morning like a herd of starving buffalos and went off to brave the elements, nice to be young. I am cooking crawfish pie, shrimp jambalaya and oyster stew with potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, stuffed artichokes and fresh French bread. Already have 2 pans of bread pudding and banana pudding and my version of Mississippi Mud cake. Happy Mardi Gras everyone !!!

Yeah that was a messy end to Mardi Gras,, hope everyone had a good time. Food you made sounds great!

Despite the rainy end it was a success, it is still raining and cold. I had a terrific bunch or people here at the house from friends from out of town to a slew of very hungry teenagers, but everyone had a great time. The food was a big hit and they wiped it all out. Back to normal now kids are still out of school till Monday so they are drifting in and out.I am enjoying every minute of it.

That's really great.

All that commotion and people would drive me nuts I think..I'm used to peace and quiet..lol

Peace and quiet is not normal here, we are the hangout for a great group of teenagers , Sat is senior prom my youngest g-baby is dating a senior so it has been a hell of a month finding the perfect dress, shoes, getting her hair dyed and finally Fri; nails and toes and Sat. morning the grande finale the hair do. They are going to New Orleans in a limo for dinner then to the dance then back to NO for the after party at a condo, she doesn't drink so she is the designated driver which I feel very good about. I think 6 girls will be dressing here and the limo will pick them up here so we have kids parents and a ton of pics to get through. Glad it will be warmer we are going to be close to freezing tonight, global warming my ass, it has been cold for 2 days. Swore I saw Al Gore in a parka at the parade yesterday...lol

Wind-wind and more wind blowing in a storm for tomorrow, but it is beautiful outside close to 80 but very humid. I have the first roses of the year in bloom, my Mom's double petal yellow rose, it is stunning, of course the azaleas are all in bloom as is the dogwood, tulip trees, camellias and a host of other bushes.

Tornado watch till 3AM if not later, the wind is already kicking up outside and my phone is blowing up between storm warnings and river flood warnings.

Once again storms moving our way, at least I got the yard mowed yesterday, so many festivals going on Strawberry, French Quarter, Cruising the Coast, not sure which direction to go today.

SSC would like to see a pic,kind of gives one a sense of who one is writing with. LOL

It is friggin cold here and going to be in the low 30's in the morning with a chance of frost, so much for 81 yesterday....

Beautiful weather, and so many things going on Zurich Classic, first week-end of Jazz Fest, Crawfish Festivals, heading to the beach for some get away time then festival bound, car shows on the coast and concerts. Loving Louisiana !!!

Sounds nice. Our weather has been good too, not too hot or cold. Things are slow around here mainly because all the snow birds went back up north.   

Its gonna start gettin hot soon..

The Robins have done their bit. They nested in the huge Yucca. Now we have 3 baby Robins flying around.

Man Blackbird is chasing Lady Blackbird ... The Nest is ready in the Bamboo.

Blue Tits are nesting in the box. So it is all systems go.

Froglets are jumping about in the Pond ...Teeny Weeny ones.

Son Simon's cat Bomber the Killing Machine caught 3 Baby wild Rabbits.
He brought one in the bedroom and let it go to hop around. But he soon caught it again.

So thankful this tornado out break is north of us, it has been windy and ugly skies all day but no rain yet, my heart breaks for the people in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and now Mississippi as these terrible storms continue to destroy everything in their path, so far I have had contact with all my friends in the stricken towns.

Last weekend of Jazz Fest, Springsteen here we come, if you have never attended this event it should be on your bucket list...

Beautiful day, but raining coming tomorrow just what my grass needs more incentive to grow another foot but at least the river has finally dropped out the back yard and is now in its banks. 2 more weeks of school left then it is no more alarm clocks for 10 weeks, thank you lord !!!

Perfect day, chilly start but it has warmed to the 80's TGIF, kids planning a trip to the beach and I am doing spring cleaning..or maybe the casino..lol

Finally school is out for the summer gbaby ended with a 4.6, only the 4.0 will count but her grades in Chem 105 and AP English 106 bumped her GPA way up, 4 colleges sending literature so far and that was on her first ACT test score of 24 she is shooting for a 27 which is a full ride, she is looking at USM, Florida State, LSU and Miss.St. but received a letter from Clemson.

Off to the cemetery then the coast for the fireworks extravaganza and some good fresh seafood
